ADPv3 (Addinsight Device Protocol v3) that was recently introduced and reinvents communication between devices and Addinsight. It is built upon the latest industry standard protocols such as HTTP and allows Addinsight and devices to securely communicate and benefit from industry wide development. This is of increasing importance as users move more towards cloud deployments.
ADPv3 supports a wide range of Products. It also includes device management, supporting status and configuration reporting, versioning and firmware updates.
The protocol supports many sources of data such as vehicle and people movement information (e.g., Bluetooth, ANPR, GPS, vehicle classification, speed), environmental monitoring, flood monitoring and general device state information.
A connector is a protocol translator that enables you to connect devices.
Addinsight has connectors, such as the NTCIP/RTA sign protocols that can act as device simulators for test systems, such as a Detector, Power System, Camera or Sign.
